Tonight, the Wife and I sat down to watch Firewall on DVD this evening (the various HBOs were showing both Major Payne and Star Wars Episode III, each for the 375,034th time). I wish I could find that clip from the Family Guy where Harrison Ford’s character keeps running up to people on the street and asking, “Where is my family??” Because that’s a good synopsis of this movie thus far. Watching Firewall, and man, I couldn't be more bored
February 23, 2008Vegas 2008: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love to Bomb
February 21, 2008Sorry for the long drought in posts, but with a company meeting last week and a trip to Vegas for yet another tradeshow this week, I’ve been slammed. Luckily, I had a few minutes on the flight home to jot down a few thoughts about the Vegas trip.
Dook-UNC, Henderson v. Hansbrough: It's time to jump around
February 6, 2008Yesterday, I had one of those great moments where being a dad just takes on a different light. No, my son didn’t cure cancer or win the big game. He just did something that made me laugh – and got me very fired up for the Dook-UNC tonight.
Poor, poor Chris Myers – the real loser at Super Bowl XLII
February 4, 2008One of the things I didn’t mention in my snit earlier today about the Super Bowl is that Patriots fans weren’t the only people who should be down today. Just thank God, Allah and Buddha that you’re not Chris Myers from Fox Sports, who had the thankless job of interviewing Bill Belichick after losing the Super Bowl… a shot at history… and the sleeves to his hoodie.
Ty Lawson's hurt, the Pats miss history… Sunday, Bloody Sunday
February 4, 2008Boy, even though I went into Super Sunday with a spring in my step and a gleam in my eye, I ended the night limping to bed like a boxer with two closed eyes. Sure, you look at the paper this a.m., and it doesn’t look that bad. UNC beat Florida State on the road, and the Patriots lost a close one (which technically shouldn’t matter because I’ve forsworn all allegiance to NFL teams).
What else to watch for on Super Sunday…
February 2, 2008Tomorrow, me and about 100 million of my best friends will all sit down to watch Super Bowl XLII. This Super Bowl isn’t a large, not even an XL. It’s two past XL. If this Super Bowl were a pair of pants, they’d fit Louie Anderson.
